USING MIM AND CIM TO DELIVER ENDOSCOPE DEVICES
USING MIM AND CIM TO DELIVER ENDOSCOPE DEVICES

What Customer need:

A cost-effective manufacturing solution for the components of their handheld endoscope devices. Needed complex electrodes made of tungsten alloy material which has special material characteristics like ductility in the tungsten alloy material. Also needed ceramic insulators with complex mating geometry to insulate the non-functional area of the tungsten electrode.

AMT Value-add:

AMT supported the client with reliable and consistent mass production deliverables of high quality medical components. AMT was able to mass-produce tungsten electrode with complex geometries as well as maintaining ductility in the sintered material. Using AMT Ceramic Injection Molding (CIM), AMT is able to deliver complex insulators with thin wall thickness, to be assembled together with the electrode.
